10 Favorite Arcade Games

I’m a kid that grew up in the age of arcades, for gaming. I’ve put many quarters or even tokens into machines to play them and I’m not talking about that Chuck-E-Cheese shit, I’m talking REAL arcades! So putting this list together will be a unique experience.

  1. I remember all of these games, even if I didn’t really play NBA Jam. As a kid I never liked Street Fighter 2. I always preferred Mortal Kombat. Now as an adult I understand why… Every character fights the same so its just easier even if the MK arcade games are always more difficult until you lose and pump a quarter in. I liked the T2 Arcade game so much that I still have the home and portable versions. Aw yeah T2 on Game Boy.

Our local ghetto Walmart back in the day had to pull its Mortal Kombat 2 arcade game for starting too many fist fights. It was one of the only places in the area to have MK… even if it was 2 Walmarts away. I didn’t live into the ghetto, just the town next to it :-)

    • This rules! We got an MK2 before anyone else in the town I grew up in, at the local arcade…but no fist fights!

      • You miss all the ghetto fun! If only it was the 80s there would have been Polybius stories surrounding that machine and its fights.
