The worst pizza I ever ate was from Sbarro

Blatant false advertising. They've never sold a pizza that looked like this.

Several years back, I decided to visit New York City. The Big Apple is famous for it’s food but I was a youngster at the time and did not know there were more awful places to eat than good ones. I figured everything – even the fast food – was awesome there. Boy was I wrong. But one place stood out as particularly fucking awful – the Times Square Sbarro.

Think about it – the most famous place in America and your restaurant there sucks. What does that say???

Looks bad ass on the outside!

Inside this huge Sbarro location, the pizza sucked so bad, we could barely finish it. The restaurant was filthy. It was a huge disappointment. And that is pretty run of the mill for this brand!

See, for some reason, Sbarro has a stranglehold on mall-pizza chains around the United States. For many people who are hungry for some “Fresh Italian Cooking,” they see the flag of Italy in the logo of Sbarro and decide to try it. But it always sucks! The dough tastes like cardboard, the cheese might be Best Choice but is probably something even cheaper and it always is stale or old, even though fresh it probably still sucks. They have low standards.

Not surprisingly, they filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy a while back, but unfortunately, they still exist.

If you see one of these disgusting chains, avoid it like it is serving rat meat. Food this poor shouldn’t be allowed to make it onto a plate! But for a cruddy company like this, that’s just the way of doing business and it stinks.
