The Game Boy was a big deal, because it was the first time most late 80s/early 90s gamers got to play games on the go! Forget about the fact that the thing was bigger than a cinder block, this was an incredible achievement. Now, we can look back at the games you’ve probably never heard of but I played and loved.
Its rare when someone even mentions Yoshi. I owned the game. It was pretty fun. I’ve never played the cookie version or even Wario. Everything else is pretty awesome. The Pokemon craze came after my time though. I always saw it as Dragon Warrior Monsters mechanics with Final Fantasy Legend’s style of enemies.

Puzzle games don’t get enough love. The Pokemon games came for me late, too, but it was at a time where I wasn’t playing much else and saw them. Decided to check it out and to this day, as a grumpy adult, I respect what that franchise has become. Hell, I’ll admit it. I love it.
